A VUE of Time

Description

Original Scene created in Poser Pro 2014
Exported and rendered in VUE 2015 Complete
Scattered grass, flowers and bushes achieved within Vue 2015

Scene comprises of 13.5 billion polygons @ 4 hours 57 Minutes render time.

This scene used a skeleton and rock set which was composed inside of Poser Pro 2014 and imported successfully into Vue 2015… this version of Vue is actually importing Poser files without any complaints!

The scene was rendered alongside a depth map so that I could use Photoshop to provide the lens blur / depth of field. Photoshop was also used for colour balancing and vibrancy toning while Filter Forge was used to add a subtle chromatic filter.

Thanks for viewing, all constructive criticisms welcome!

At first when I saw this I thought it was a photograph. But after reading your description I am amazed. I couldn't even tell that it wasn't real! I've never actually got a chance to work on Poser or Vue, but after seeing your work I am very much considering it.

The lighting and color choices are beautiful, they really makes this render pop. You said you used 13.5 billion polygons, well holy McDonald's. I can only imagine how long that might have taken to render, specially if all the poly's were quaded. It does seem to be a lot of poly's, but then again there is a lot going on in this image. Overall, I absolutely love this render. It motivates me to keep practicing on my own time. Keep up the beautiful work!
